We launched Junction seven months ago with the idea that we could help make teaching more efficient and effective and learning more affordable and engaging. Earlier this week we served our one millionth page of learning content which, had they all been printed pages (double sided, of course), would be a stack of paper comfortably taller than the Empire State Building in New York City. Fortunately, we run in the cloud so we’ve ended up saving quite a few trees along the way.
It’s still early, but we wanted to take a moment to thank the instructors and students across 1,100+ cities and 48 states and DC – c’mon North Dakota and Alaska! – who have already tried Junction.
So how did we get to one million? Deep student engagement. Students spend an average of 40+ minutes / session in Junction and often come to the platform multiple times per week to study, collaborate and learn.
We continue to listen to your feedback and iteratively update and improve the platform with multiple releases per month. the last major release included Junction Beacon, a proprietary algorithmically-driven SMS / email notification system that alerts students who are falling off the engagement path to re-engage before it gets too late.
